Forestville residents are invited to BLOOM this summer

FORESTVILLE — Imagine Forestville and Fredonia Garden Club are excited and proud to announce that they have been partnered in promoting BLOOM, a Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation event, to the residents of Forestville.

This is NCCF’S first ever BLOOM event geared to promote front yard gardening for the beauty of our communities! NCCF describes Project BLOOM as “a way to say thank you for the color and character that garden stewards bring to our neighborhoods.”

“How truly wonderful and a blessing that NCCF has decided to assist communities with this challenging, rewarding and FUN way to help make communities BLOOM with beauty,” Aimee Rogers of Imagine Forestville said. “Imagine Forestville and Fredonia Garden Club are so happy to have been accepted into this very community-minded event!”

How Project BLOOM Works

If you live within the former village limits or up to 1/4 mile beyond:

¯ No need to sign-up!

¯ Work on your yard and gardens.

¯ Be ready between July 8-29: During those dates, representatives from Fredonia Garden Club and Imagine Forestville will canvass the Forestville community and decide which front yard has the most BLOOMING curb appeal.

¯ The committee will look at flowers, shrubbery, yard tidiness, trimming, decorations and uniqueness. The committee hopes to see yards that will inspire others to create a more beautiful, vibrant Forestville and Northern Chautauqua County.

Residents’ gardens that are chosen will receive a small BLOOM garden recognition sign and a chance to win various gift certificates.
