Fredonia fire department gets 3 late night calls

The Fredonia Fire Department responded to three calls in a row late Sunday night to early Monday morning.

According to the department’s Facebook page, Sunday night just before midnight, Rescue 15 responded to an EMS call on Castile Drive. While on scene, the fire department was dispatched for a vehicle fire on Chautauqua Road in the town of Pomfret. Engine 15 responded and arrived on scene reporting a fully involved vehicle fire. While on scene about 10 minutes later, another EMS call was dispatched and Rescue 14 responded with Alstar ambulance.

Fire officials report they were able to handle all three calls at the same time with the help of volunteers, off duty personnel and Alstar ambulance.
