Author to visit South Dayton

J.B. Butcher

SOUTH DAYTON — Wednesday, Aug. 14, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., on the South Dayton Village Square, enjoy the book signing by J. B. Butcher, author of the new children’s book series, Corolla Bear’s OBX Adventures. Zack Wideman, Illustrator for the book will also be here to meet the children.

At 6 p.m., Larry Zollinger, member of the Pine Valley Central School Board and former mayor of South Dayton will introduce Mr. Butcher and Mr. Wideman to the community.

Mr. Butcher’s passion for freedom and liberty radiates in this fictional series about the wild horses of the Outer Banks in North Carolina. He received his B.A. in advertising with a Minor in economics from the University of South Carolina. He is a lover of animals and creativity. J.B. Butcher lives in the Carolinas, but was born in Jamestown. Along with the children’s book, T-shirts will be available for purchase. Mr. Butcher is third cousin to Lynn Butcher, Butcher Rd., South Dayton.

Also, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., there will be music in the gazebo by DTO featuring Roger Chagnon III, Pine Valley teacher, and other musicians.
