Man allegedly hit emergency vehicle Sunday
HANOVER — A 72-year-old man got ticketed Sunday after he hit an emergency vehicle, parked with its flashers on, near the intersection of routes 5 and 20.
The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office reports they were called to a business near the intersection to respond to an emergency at about noon on Sunday. During the incident, Joseph Pomichter allegedly disregarded traffic control personnel, striking the emergency vehicle.
Pomichter was issued traffic tickets for failure to exercise due care approaching an emergency vehicle, and failure to comply with flag-person. He will answer the charges in town of Hanover Court at a later date.
No injuries were reported as a result of the collision.
