Citizen preparedness training Monday

BROCTON — In partnership with New York State, the American Red Cross is providing free emergency preparedness training entitled: Prepare, Respond, Recover: What to do When Disaster Strikes.

The program will take place at the Ahira Hall Memorial Library, 37 W. Main St., Brocton on Monday, Sept. 23 at 6:30 p.m. Pre-registration is encouraged.

The training gives a comprehensive overview on how to prepare for natural and man-made disasters common in our area, and how to respond to and recover from them. This training provides information on types of common disasters; ways to prepare as an individual, family and community member; what to do when disaster strikes and what actions you can take afterwards to aid in your recovery

Ages: Teens and adults. Important for all citizens and perfect for groups such as summer camps, public and private schools, senior centers, Girls and Boy Scouts, assisted and independent living communities, clubs, sports organizations and general community outreach.

Pre-registration is encouraged. Call the library at 792-9418.
