Partners in Kind plans cruise-in Saturday

GERRY — Saturday, Sept. 14 Partners in Kind of Chautauqua County and The V-Dub Club of Jamestown are co-hosting the Third Annual Reid Jones Memorial Cruise-In at the Gerry Rodeo Grounds, which honors a beautiful and courageous baby whose life was lost to Leukemia. The event takes place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. All proceeds benefit Partners in Kind of Chautauqua County, a service-based group whose goal is to help local working families, while bettering the community through various service projects. These service projects include Remember The Magic, a holiday event for children who have suffered a loss and our Thanksgiving Dinner for Heroes (Veterans, first responders, etc).

Partners in Kind of Chautauqua County helps working families in emergency need, which is how they met Reid’s family. The group has also organized park/roadside trash clean-ups, collection drives for local organizations and random acts of kindness/good deeds throughout the year.

This year’s cruise-in will also have a chicken barbecue (presale tickets $10, $12 at event), kids’ activities — including a magician!, vendors, basket raffles … it’s a family event.

And of course, CARS! V-Dub Club makes the trophies.
