Reed collapses, said to be in good condition

U.S. Rep. Tom Reed, R-Corning, collapsed Thursday afternoon before a television appearance in Washington, D.C., according to multiple news reports.

The incident happened at 1:30 p.m. Reed was reportedly unconscious for 30 seconds after falling to the ground. Will Reinert, from Tom Reed’s office, issued this statement around 2:30 p.m.: “Tom is in good condition, responsive, and being checked out by medical personnel following today’s fall.”

Within 30 minutes after Reinert’s statement, Reed’s scheduled conference call with District 23 media was postponed.
