New Westfield Cemetery tours set for Oct. 25-26

WESTFIELD — Enjoy a good spook while learning about history? Well, do we have a treat for you! The Patterson Library, Lake Shore Center for the Arts, Chautauqua County Historical Society at the McClurg Museum, Westfield Cemetery Association, the Village of Westfield, and the Westfield-Barcelona Chamber of Commerce announce Westfield’s first annual cemetery tours!

The tours will take place on both Friday, Oct. 25, and Saturday, Oct. 26 from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Westfield Cemetery. Parking will be available on Academy Street/Plank Road. There will be a registration and refreshment table at the maintenance building in the cemetery. All tours will begin from the maintenance building.

Horse drawn carriage tours are $20 per person (regardless of age) and each ride sits up to ten (10) persons. We will also have walking tours, which are $15 per person (ages 13 and up) and $5 per person (ages 12 and under). All tickets come with a complimentary LED lantern, and a refreshment. We will have hot cider, hot chocolate, mulled wine, and other wines, generously donated by Johnson Estate Winery. We will also have a multitude of baked goods provided through library volunteer extraordinaire, Sharon Goupil of Sherman.

These tours would not be possible without the generosity of our sponsors, Howard Hannah Holt, Johnson Estate Winery, and Tracy Bennett, CPA. So come enjoy an evening of spooktacularly good history with us! It’s sure to make your October!

Tickets are only available at https://lakeshorecenterforthearts.ticketspice.com/westfield-cemetery-tour.
