Pennsylvania pair nabbed with drugs

SILVER CREEK — Two Pennsylvania residents are facing drug charges after a vehicle stop early Friday.

Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputies report at about 1 a.m., they pulled over a vehicle in the village for an alleged traffic violation. Through an investigation, deputies recovered a quantity of cocaine, methamphetamine, and, marijuana from the vehicle.

Benjamin M. Mueller, 41, and Alexis L. Akers, 20, both of Russell were taken into custody and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana and various traffic offenses.

Both were taken to the Chautauqua County Jail to be arraigned in the Centralized Arraignment program.
