Dunkirk Fire Department has November report
The Dunkirk Fire Department for the month of November responded to 152 calls. Thirty-three calls were related to fires and 119 were rescue and emergency medical service. Of the fire calls, 11 were hazardous condition calls, five were service calls, three were good intent calls, 11 were false alarms, two were for severe weather and natural disaster and one was a special incident call.
The department suffered no losses in equipment and helped in mutual aid calls on six occasions. There was a total of 16 overlapping calls with average response time for EMS being 3:38 and fire at 3:50. Average time spent on scene was 15:42.
