The Silver Creek Overseas Veterans held their Children’s Christmas Party Dec. 21. Children met Santa and Mrs. Claus and got to visit with them and receive Christmas presents. Also in attendance was the mean old Grinch and Frosty the snowman who met with the children. There were refreshments and food for the kids along with games and crafts. Special thanks to the Silver Creek Fire Department for helping Santa to arrive on time and to all the helpers especially Les and Sonja Ormsby, Don and Cindy Thurston, Randy Beutel, Sunset Bay Restaurant for their donation to the event, members of the VFW Auxiliary, social members and to all who made this event possible.
