Animals killed in Ripley fire

RIPLEY — An house burned down Saturday night and four animals died in the blaze.

Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office deputies report they were dispatched to a structure fire at 6340 Cemetery Road in the town of Ripley at about 5:30 p.m. Their press release states, “Upon arrival, the house was at total loss due to the fire. The dwelling was not occupied at the time of the fire, but four domestic animals were lost due to this incident. The fire investigation is pending at this time.”

The Ripley, Sherman and Westfield fire departments responded to the fire.
