Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation accepting interest letters for grants

The Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation is accepting Letters of Interest to the Community Benefit Grant program until March 1.

Proposals must efficiently and effectively address identified community needs or encourage new opportunities. Letters of Interest must also include each of the following four points. 1) A brief project description, including how this project furthers your agency’s mission. 2) What the anticipated and measurable impacts of the project are, including the number of people who might benefit, the specific benefits to the community at large, or both. 3) The total project cost and the specific amount requested. 4) The signature of the Executive Director or President and the name and contact information for the primary person responsible for the proposal. All letters must be two pages or less in length and submitted electronically to eardillo@nccfoundation.org.

Letters of Interest must be received by 4 p.m. on March 1. Additional guidelines are available at www.nccfoundation.org/grants-programs or by contacting the NCCF office at 366-4892.

The Grants Committee will review each letter before selecting projects for further evaluation. The committee will then request that the selected organizations submit a full application.

Twice a year — March and September, the NCCF considers grant proposals from nonprofit organizations that serve the community. In 2019, the NCCF’s Community Grants Program distributed $151,467 in grants to 26 nonprofit organizations. A special thank you to our generous donors who have made this program possible by establishing Community Benefit Funds at the NCCF.

For help in submitting a Letter of Interest or for additional information, contact Eileen Ardillo, program coordinator at 366-4892 or eardillo@nccfoundation.org.

The NCCF, incorporated in 1986, is a tax-exempt charitable organization. Since its establishment, the NCCF has distributed more than $15.5 million in the community through its various grant programs. It is an organization inherently committed to enriching the northern Chautauqua community and encouraging local philanthropy.
