City of Dunkirk Seeks Community Input

A series of public hearings are scheduled to solicit community input for the City of Dunkirk’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) 2021 – 2023 Consolidated Plan and 2020 Annual Action Plan. The first hearing will take place on Monday, March 2, 2020 at 9:30 a.m. in the Mayor’s Conference Room at Dunkirk City Hall. Another hearing will be on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at 3:30 p.m. on the first floor conference room at the Dunkirk Public Library, 536 Central Ave Dunkirk. Designated as a CDBG entitlement community by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), the city annually qualifies for grant funding from HUD for housing and community development projects. Community input is an essential part of the CDBG planning process so Dunkirk residents are encouraged to attend and share their input. IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO ATTEND, there is a community survey posted on www.dunkirktoday.com that can be printed, filled out, and returned by mail, fax, or email at any time before March 31. Any questions or comments should be directed to Jill Meaux, Community Development Planner by email at jmeaux@cityofdunkirk.com or phone at 716-366-9878.
