GOWANDA — After 25 years of volunteer service with Healthy Community Alliance (HCA), Jeffrey Bowen was recognized at the Annual Meeting of the organization on February 6. Staff and board members joined together to congratulate Bowen on his retirement from the HCA Board of Directors and thank him for his many years of service.

“After a quarter of a century, it is with a good deal of reflection, mixed feelings, a huge reservoir of appreciation and a sense of accomplishment that I have decided to roll off the board,” says Bowen. “While I cannot think of any more relevant and truly needed health services and support than what HCA is now doing, I feel ready to embark on the next chapter in this life journey.”

“It has been an honor to work with Jeff,” says Ann Battaglia HCA CEO. “His passion for and commitment to HCA’s mission are unmatched.” At the Annual Meeting last Thursday, HCA also recognized Dennis Tobolski, who after 6 years of service, also retired from the board. HCA welcomed new board member David Parker a resident of East Otto. The Annual Meeting was attended by staff and members of both the HCA Board of Directors and the Academy Place Housing Development Fund Company Board of Directors.
