The Chautauqua County Fire Investigation team is investigating a blaze early Sunday in the village of Fredonia. The Fredonia Fire Department responded to a structure fire on 12 Cushing St. around 3:15 a.m. Upon arrival, firefighters found fire in a second floor apartment. An interior attack was made and the fire was quickly knocked down. Dunkirk firefighters also responded to the scene to assist with Fredonia police and National Grid. Firefighters were at the scene for about two hours.
