WCA Home seeks items for Second Chance sale Sept. 30

Have you been cleaning out closets during this unpreceded times? Are you looking for someplace to donate your items?

The Friends of the WCA Home are looking to the community for donations of gently-used men and women’s clothing, purses, jewelry, and small trinkets. Please drop off donations at the WCA Home, 134 Temple St., Fredonia. Please ring bell on front door and wait for a staff member to assist. Donations will be accepted until Friday, Sept. 25.

The residents of the Home have been cooped up for a very long time due to the COVID-19. They look forward to the Annual Second Chance sale every year and especially this year. The residents are able to “shop” like they are in a store, and purchase items at very reasonable prices. While the Friends of WCA Home are not physically able to work the sale for the residents due to COVID-19 restrictions, Jen Matos and Loretta Hartman will hold the sale on Wednesday, Sept. 30. This sale is only for the residents at the Home. It is not open to the public.

The Friends of the WCA Home is an auxiliary organized to help raise funds for activities and entertainment benefiting the men and women who reside at The Home. For further information, please call the Home at 672-7961.
