Brooks-TLC performing preparedness drill

From today to Thursday, as part of its COVID-19 Emergency Preparedness Plan, Brooks-TLC Hospital System, Inc., will temporarily utilize a section of the visitor lot at Central Avenue to perform a drill in preparation for any potential surge in patients due to COVID-19.

An area in the visitor parking lot near the hospital’s main lobby entrance will be blocked off and converted to a fully functional surge tent to accommodate any potential need for patient care. The exercise is not open to the public.

Brooks-TLC is not at or over capacity at this time. The event is for preparation purposes only.

“We apologize for any inconvenience and parking lot accessibility will resume to normal operations by Friday, September 18,” Brooks-TLC said in a news release.

The drill will be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather.
