Thursday Knitting Club staying active

The volunteers of the Thursday Knitting Group have kept very busy during the COVID-19 crisis. The group of ladies have knit and crocheted 647 items, which include afghans, lap robes, baby blankets, sweater, hats, scarves and mittens. These items have been distributed to the V.A. Clinic, Hospice, The Salvation Army, St. Gianna Pregnancy Outreach Center, libraries in Dunkirk, Fredonia, Silver Creek, and Brocton, the Chautauqua Nursing Home and the Rehabilitation Center in Dunkirk. The volunteers meet at St. Joseph’0s RC Church in Fredonia on Thursdays from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Those with unused yarn who would like donate are asked to Louise at 785-6039.
