Taking the oath
Hannah Abram was given the oath of office for the new Stockton Town Board member on Feb. 9, the 200th anniversary of the town of Stockton being formed. It was on Feb. 9, 1821, when the town of Stockton separated from the town of Chautauqua to form its own township. David Wilson, town supervisor, used the 1881 Bible for administering the oath of office to Abram. Town Clerk Kathryn Palmer read the oath.
