Cherry Creek gazebo concerts begin new season

CHERRY CREEK — The 2021 Gazebo Concert Season will begin Thursday evening at 6:30 p.m. with the music of “Happy Days.”

All concerts will take place at the Cherry Creek Ball Park Pavilion, and will be held rain or shine. Those planning to attend are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs.

Supper-type refreshments will be available.

“Happy Days” performs music of the 1950s and ’60s, with period costumes and vigorous energy. They engage their audiences and are quite entertaining to watch.

This concert is being co- sponsored by Sharon Sweeting, in memory of Larry Waite, a former resident and former instrumental music instructor at Pine Valley Central School who passed away last year.

The project is sponsored by the Cherry Creek Community Association Inc. and made possible in part with funds from the Decentralization Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts, with the support of Gov. Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature and administered by the Tri County Arts Council.

The program is also supported by area businesses, the town of Cherry Creek and community members.
