ELLICOTT POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Jason S. Smith, 52, no address listed, was charged with second-degree criminal contempt. Officers responded at 6 a.m. Sunday to a 911 hang up call. Upon arrival, officers could hear arguing inside a residence. Smith was taken into custody due to having a valid stay away order of protection in place. Smith was processed and released with a ticket to appear in Ellicott Town Court later.

LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Buster C. Swanson, 40, of Lakewood, was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated per se, DWI, improper passing, failure to keep right, failure to maintain lane, open container in a motor vehicle and leaving the scene of an accident. Officers were called at 7:39 p.m. Friday to West Fairmount Avenue for an intoxicated driver. An investigation found that Swanson had allegedly struck a vehicle while driving on West Fairmount Avenue and was intoxicated. He was released with tickets to appear in Busti Town Court later.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Matthew J. Sedlmayer, 23, of Jamestown, was charged with second-degree assault, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon and aggravated family offense. Officers responded at 7:24 p.m. Sunday to a south side address for a reported domestic incident. An investigation found that Sedlmayer allegedly got into an altercation with another person and cut them in the hand with a knife. A check of Sedlmayers’ criminal history showed a previous conviction, making the arrest a felony. He was transported to Jamestown City Jail and held for arraignment.

¯ Jordan J. Thayer, 25, no address listed, was charged with third-degree criminal possession of stolen property and second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation. Cassandra M. Wick, 22, no address listed, was charged with third-degree criminal possession of stolen property and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Officers stopped a vehicle at 6:37 p.m. Sunday in the area of Forest Avenue and Locust Street for a traffic violation. A check showed that Thayer was allegedly operating with a revoked driver’s license in a vehicle reported stolen in the town of Ellicott. Officers later located a small quantity of methamphetamine. Thayer and Wick were held for arraignment.
