Dunkirk Senior Center eyes comedy trip

The Dunkirk Senior Center is planning a trip to the National Comedy Center in Jamestown. The trip will be March 9 and includes the Lucille Ball-Desi Arnaz Museum. Lunch will be at the Tropicana Room. Following lunch with be a trip to the the National Comedy Center. The cost of the trip is $100. Paid reservations must be received by Feb. 28. Sign up at the Dunkirk Senior CenterOffice.

Independent Health will be at the Senior Center on Thursday and Thursday, March 16 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. for anyone with questions regarding their policy. There will be a cell phone/tablet class Wednesday at 10 a.m. Call the Center Office to sign up. The Batavia Casino trip and the Allegany Casino trip are full. A waiting list is available.

The Dunkirk Senior Center will be sponsoring a Fish Fry on Friday, March 10. Doors open at 4 p.m. with dinner being served at 4:30. Cost of the dinner is $7 per member. Sign up will be Monday, Feb. 27 at the Senior Center Office.

AARP will be sponsoring a Defensive Driving Course March 27 and 28. Participants must attend both class dates. Call the Center office for more information. Upcoming events to watch for: Erie Playhouse Theater, Sprague’s and Seneca Alllegany Casino and in August there will be a mystery train ride.

The next big bingo game will be Wednesday, March 8. Doors open at 4 p.m. with a light dinner being served at 4:30. February birthday lunch will be Wednesday, Feb. 22. Any member with a February birthday is asked to stop by the center to sign up for their birthday lunch. The birthday member may bring guests at a cost of $10 per guest.

Dominoes are played on Wednesday at 1 p.m. MahJongg is Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. Pinochle is Monday and Friday at 1 p.m. Exercise is Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 9 AM. Hand and Foot card game is played Friday at 1 p.m.. Tai Chi is Tuesday and Thursday at 3 p.m. Social time is Thursday at 11:30 a.m. Attendees bring their own lunch and can enjoy 25 cent bingo.
