The City of Dunkirk Fire Department will soon have two new vehicles to utilize.
At a recent Common Council meeting, Mayor Wilfred Rosas was approved to sign a contract to purchase two Rosenbauer Pumpers, complete with Rosenbauer Commander Chassis, for an estimated maximum cost of $1,750,000. The cost for each vehicle is $874,270, with a discount of $14,911 for each pumper if the total chassis amount of $388,426 for the two pumpers is paid when the chassis are delivered to the Rosenbauer plant.
Also at the recent meeting, a claim by Michael Skubis seeking reimbursement for damages to his property at 45 E. Courtney Street, allegedly caused by Dunkirk Police during a drug raid, was forwarded by the Common Council to the city’s law department.
