Aaron Mecham and Boaz Mecham will be performing their Junior Recitals.

Aaron Mecham and Boaz Mecham, Jamestown residents, are giving their Junior Recitals at Diers Recital Hall SUNY Fredonia at 5 p.m. today and Saturday at 7 p.m.

Aaron Mecham will give his Junior Recital at Diers Recital Hall in Mason Hall at SUNY Fredonia as Boaz Mecham, his twin, will be his piano accompanist today. They will play together Mozart Sonata and Brahms Sonata and a solo Bach on violin unaccompanied by Aaron Mecham.

On the following day, Boaz Mecham will have his Junior Recital at Diers Recital Hall in Mason Hall at SUNY Fredonia. Aaron Mecham will be his piano accompanist. Boaz will also play a Mozart Sonata, a Brahms Sonata and a solo Ysale Sonata on the violin.

The twins were introduced to the violin at the Jamestown Public Schools at the age of 5. At 10 years old they played with the Warren Philharmonic under Bryan Eckenrode. In 2019 they won the Chautauqua’s Got Talent Season 10 at the Spire Theater, and last year they won the Concerto Competition at SUNY Fredonia. They studied piano with the late Helga Hulse.

They currently study violin performance with Professor Jessica Tong and piano performance with Father Sean Duggan at SUNY Fredonia.

The recitals are free and all are welcome. Each recital will be followed by a reception.
