Silver Creek – Irving Heritage Fund Grant Applications Open

The Silver Creek – Irving Heritage Fund (SCIHF) Committee is now accepting grant applications until Sept. 20.

The SCIHF provides funding to charitable organizations, programs, and initiatives that address the most pressing issues within the Silver Creek/Irving communities. Their slogan, “Remembering Our Past – Securing Our Future,” encapsulates their commitment to fostering community growth and preserving local heritage. Grant applications can be found at https://www.nccfoundation.org/scihf.

The annual deadline for grant submissions is Sept. 20. Applications can be mailed to NCCF – Silver Creek-Irving Heritage Fund at 212 Lake Shore Drive W., Dunkirk, NY 14048 or emailed to eardillo@nccfoundation.org.

Past grant recipients have included the Anderson Lee Library, Festival of Grapes, Dunkirk Fredonia Meals on Wheels, Silver Creek Hanover Garden Club, the Village of Silver Creek Music in the Park and St. Columbans on the Lake. Current SCIHF committee members are Matt Bogosian, Susan Borrello, Marv Cummings, Marcey Denardo, Maureen Morabito, Donna Roof, Kathy Tampio and Liz VanCheri.

Residents interested in serving on the SCIHF Grants Committee are encouraged to reach out to any committee member or contact the NCCF for more information. The SCIHF is a Community Donor Advised Fund of the Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation (NCCF).

A Community Donor Advised Fund provides flexibility and hyper-local control over charitable donations, ensuring that contributions are directed towards the most impactful needs in the relevant community.
