County businesses support local 4-H program

The largest annual fundraiser for the 4-H program was a success thanks to the outpouring of support from the Chautauqua County Community.

The 4-H Green Tie Affair was held on February 23, 2025 at the Chautauqua Harbor Hotel in Celoron. The festivities included a basket raffle, bake sale, pie auction, and, of course, dinner. “I am always grateful and overwhelmed by the community support at our Annual Green Tie Affair Dinner. It is truly a celebration of community support helping 4-H thrive in Chautauqua County, says Emily Reynolds, CCE Executive Director.

The community came together to support 4-H in a big way. Brigiotta’s Farmland Produce and Garden Center donated leafy greens for the salad and potatoes for the dinner. Tops Friendly Markets on Washington Street donated cupcakes for dessert, and Upstate Farms donated chocolate and white milk. Chautauqua County 4-H families and clubs donated baskets for the basket raffle and baked goods for the bake sale.

Triple E Manufacturing & Design donated a banner to showcase local businesses who sponsored a table. The banner will also be on display at the Chautauqua County Fair.

Local businesses and friends of 4-H sponsored tables at the event.
