A Forestville resident has been arrested for allegedly stealing tens of thousands of dollars.

According to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, in September its Criminal Investigation Division received a referral from another county agency.

The investigation allegedly showed that between April 2023 and August 2024 45-year-old Meaghan N. Cappa stole in excess of $50,000 from an individual.

Cappa was charged with second-degree grand larceny out of the Town of Dunkirk Court. She turned herself in at the Chautauqua County Jail where she was arraigned via the Centralized Arraignment Program and released.
