Lazarony seeks Democratic nod for trustee

LeeAnn Lazarony

Fredonia resident LeeAnn Lazarony has formally announced her candidacy for Village Trustee. A Democrat, Lazarony relocated to the village in 2017 and resides with her husband, John and son, Thomas. Previously, she lived in Cassadaga, where she served on the Village Board both as a Trustee and as Mayor for eight years.

Lazarony is now retired, having worked for the New York State Court System as the Drug Court Resource Coordinator in Dunkirk City Court. In this role, she assisted the Court in identifying alternatives to incarceration for individuals experiencing drug and alcohol addiction. Her efforts were pivotal in aiding numerous individuals to overcome their addictions and reintegrate as productive members of society. Additionally, Lazarony has served on the Board of Directors for the Mental Health Association and the Child Advocacy Program of Chautauqua County.

“I am committed to addressing several issues within the Village, including budget shortfalls and their causes and our village’s long-standing water quality concerns. I want to bring the lessons I learned as the one-time mayor of Cassadaga and as a trustee to help manage these and other Village matters effectively,” said Lazarony.

“I am dedicated to ensuring that Fredonia is an excellent place to live. I am requesting the support of Village Democrats in the upcoming Primary on June 24th – and continue my campaign in November.”

Starting at $3.50/week.
