STOCKTON — Assemblyman Andrew Molitor (R,C-Westfield) joined community members, volunteers and antique equipment enthusiasts today at the opening of the 50th Annual Chautauqua County Antique Equipment Association (CCAEA) Show.
The three-day event, running Aug. 15 to 17, celebrates five decades of preserving and sharing the region’s rich agricultural and mechanical heritage. Hosted on the CCAEA showgrounds on Cemetery Road, the show features live demonstrations of antique engines, sawmill operations, blacksmithing and machine shop tools, along with tractor pulls, antique automobile displays, wagon rides, a flea market and family-friendly activities.
Molitor praised the dedication of the CCAEA and its volunteers, noting, “This event is more than just a showcase of antique machinery, it’s a celebration of our rural history, the hard work of generations past, and the community spirit that keeps traditions alive. The fact that this show has grown and thrived for 50 years is a testament to the pride and passion of Chautauqua County.”
The CCAEA show has become a cherished tradition in Chautauqua County, offering families and visitors alike the chance to step back in time and experience the engines, tools and community spirit that built our region. As the association marks its 50th year, organizers remain committed to keeping this history alive for generations to come.
Community members are encouraged to mark their calendars for future shows and continue supporting one of Western New York’s most unique and enduring celebrations of rural heritage.
