Father Dan Fiebelkorn blessed the grapes grown by parishioners of The Lord’s Vineyard at Saturday’s vigil Mass at Our Lady of Mount Carmel church in Silver Creek. A blessing of gratitude for the harvest and a prayer for the safety of the growers and all those in the industry was given by Father Dan, who first read the names of those in the grape community who passed away in the last year. They included Erwin Cross, Sydney Farnham, Myrton Sprague, Barbara and Albert VanDette Jr., Henry Rohman, Antonio Rivera, Alfred Jopek, Terry Morse, Ronald Salzman, Kenneth Cross, Howard Ferry, Mary Privitera, Guido Monacelli, Russell Andolina, Timothy Powell, and Martha Bahl.
