Seven charged in Jamestown drug bust

Detectives searched the residence located at 28 Euclid Ave., Apt. 203, and found $4,052, 21.5 grams of crack cocaine, 41.5 grams of fentanyl, 38.5 grams of methamphetamine, one alprazolam pill, four clonazepam pills, four hydrocodone pills, a suboxone strip, dilutants for diluting the drugs, packaging materials for packaging the drugs, digital scales for weighing drugs, and a loaded 9mm handgun.

Seven people face several charges after a narcotics investigation in Jamestown.

According to officials, at about 12:10 a.m., members of the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force, and Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force, with assistance from the Jamestown Police Department SWAT Team executed a search warrant at 28 Euclid Ave., Apt. 203.

Jeremy E. Thompson Jr., 20, of Buffalo, Russell H. Rea Jr., 61, of Jamestown, Dylan M. Abbey, 33, of Jamestown, Mikki T. Pierce, 37, of Warren, Pa., Tonya L. Earley, 48, of Jamestown, Crystal B. Reid, 43, of Jamestown, and Jonathan L. Mays, 41, of Jamestown were all located inside of the residence by the SWAT Team.

Police officials said that all are charged with multiple counts of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, third-degree criminal possession of controlled substance, fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, first-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia, and second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia. Thompson also was charged with tampering with physical evidence for attempting to destroy/conceal some of the narcotics.

After the residence was secured, officials said detectives searched the residence and located a total of $4052, 21.5 grams of crack cocaine, 41.5 grams of fentanyl, 38.5 grams of methamphetamine, one alprazolam pill, four clonazepam pills, four hydrocodone pills, a suboxone strip, dilutants for diluting the drugs, packaging materials for packaging the drugs, digital scales for weighing drugs, and a loaded 9mm handgun.

All were placed into custody and taken to Jamestown City Jail, and will be in Jamestown City Court later.

JPD was assisted by the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, Federal Bureau of Investigation, and Jamestown Fire Department.

Abbey was involved in a 2025 drug raid on 2200 Camp St. Ext., according to a police report, when he allegedly refused to pull over and led police on a pursuit on Manchester Road and eventually back to 2200 Camp St. Ext. Abbey reportedly tried to drive through the field but got stuck in the snow while attempting to exit the field onto Swanson Road. Abbey was then arrested in the field without further incident, according to police. Abbey is charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, two counts of criminally using drug paraphernalia and vehicle and traffic law citations.

Abbey was charged again on July 20 after city police officers responded to a report of an unwanted male at a residence on the city’s north side. The subject, identified as Dylan M. Abbey, was known to have active arrest warrants issued by Jamestown City Court. As officers attempted to make contact, Abbey ran and led police on a short chase before he was caught. Abbey was allegedly found with 42.8 grams of methamphetamine and 1.6 grams of fentanyl. He was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, both felonies; seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and resisting arrest.

Rea Jr. was charged in 2024 with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance after officers on a patrol near North Main and West Sixth streets saw Rea Jr. walking across the street knowing he had active felony warrants out of the Jamestown Police Department. Officers confirmed the warrant through dispatch and placed Rea Jr. into custody. Russell was searched and officers allege he had a quantity of glassine envelopes containing fentanyl. Rea Jr. was taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned.

Earley was charged Oct. 9 with four counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. According to police, at about 8:38 p.m., officers were checking the area behind the village center in Lakewood when a female was seen crouching down behind an electrical box behind the building. Officers made contact with Earley who at the time was allegedly consuming narcotics. She was charged in 2024 with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance Officers were called to an East Main Street hotel in Falconer to investigate a suspicious situation. An investigation determined that Earley was allegedly in possession of heroin.

In 2023, Earley was charged with three counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Officers at 10 a.m. Wednesday checked a suspicious female behind 50 S. Main St. Earley was allegedly found in possession of drug paraphernalia and a quantity of hydrocodone pills. While in the jail, Earley was also found to be concealing a small quantity of methamphetamine along with a glassine envelope that contained LSD.

Mays was one of 12 people charged in August 2024 after a drug raid at 70 Forest Ave., Jamestown. All 10 were initially charged with two counts third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, one count of fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and three counts of criminally using drug paraphernalia after a raid that resulted in the seizure of 52 grams of methamphetamine, 4.9 grams of fentanyl, $106, digital scales, calibration weights, packaging materials, and mannitol.
