Aaron Gies, candidate for New York’s 23rd Congressional District, announced Monday that his campaign has been endorsed by the New York Working Families Party, a grassroots political organization dedicated to building a New York that works for working people.

“The Working Families Party has been at the forefront of the fight for affordable housing, universal childcare, healthcare for all, and protecting immigrant communities from fear, trauma, and intimidation. These are the basics people expect from their government,” said Gies. “I’m honored to earn their endorsement and proud to stand alongside a movement fighting for a good life for all.”

The Working Families Party represents more than 60,000 members across New York State.

“The Working Families Party has a long history of supporting people-centered campaigns that win. We aim to be one,” Gies continued.

New York Working Families Party leaders cited Gies’ commitment to fight for working people and deliver bold, permanent solutions to the affordability crisis.

“With NYWFP’s endorsement, our campaign continues to build momentum toward a victory in June’s primary, and then on to November,” Gies concluded.
