JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

– Abraham M. Kamara, 48, of Georgia, was charged June 24 with driving while intoxicated. According to police, at about 2:19 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop at West Second and North Main streets. A subsequent investigation revealed that Kamara allegedly was operating the vehicle while intoxicated. He was placed into custody, and taken to Jamestown City Jail. He will be in Jamestown City Court later.

– Joseph E. Novak, 32, of Jamestown was charged June 28 with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, and second-degree menacing. According to police, at 11:30 p.m., officers responded to the area of East Second and Winsor streets for a report of a person with a weapon. Investigation, police said, determined at Novak, allegedly had pointed an imitation pistol at the victim while threatening the individual. Novak was located by officers, and found to be in alleged possession of an imitation pistol. He was placed into custody, and taken to the city jail. He will be in city court later.
