Fredonia Italian Heritage Festival set for Saturday

Festivals Fredonia is kicking off another exciting season of festivals with the fourth annual Fredonia Italian Heritage Festival — Festival Italia, which will be held this Saturday, June 29, from noon to 8 p.m. in Fredonia’s Historic Barker Common Park.

The public is invited to come experience the sounds, smells and tastes of the Italian heritage that so many of the residents of Fredonia share.

Food, wine, music, dancing, crafts, local history, activities and fun for all ages is expected to be enjoyed by all visitors!

All events will be held in the Gazebo beginning with the St. James Italian Dancers from noon to 1 p.m.

OBSERVER File Photo Food, wine, music, dancing, crafts, local history and activities will be present at the fourth annual Fredonia Italian Heritage Festival — Festival Italia.

The popular Formula Band will perform from 1-3 p.m., followed by Dave Golando’s 16 piece Big Band from 3-5 p.m.

Concluding the festival will be the energetic Happy Days Band from 5-7 p.m.

Beginning at noon there will be craft vendors, Italian food vendors, wineries and a large basket raffle.

Don’t forget to sign up for Fredonia’s Best Meatball Contest and/or the Best Homemade Wine contest. Contest requirements and applications can be found online at www.festivalsfredonia.org.
