Dunkirk-Fredonia flyover now scheduled for 4:30 this afternoon

This morning’s scheduled flyover of Dunkirk-Fredoina by The National Warplace Museum was delayed due to weather concerns earlier. The planes were supposed to be over county skies around 10:20 a.m.

Instead, the planes headed toward the Buffalo-Niagara Falls region.

“Right now, it appears we are unable to get to Dunkirk/Fredonia as planned due to weather,” the organization stated on a Facebook post. “We are going to try and get there later today.”

Dan Reininga, President of Lake Shore Savings Bank posted on Facebook they hope to return between 4:30 and 4:45 pm

National Warplane Museum President Austin Wadsworth said, “Operation Thanks From Above” is meant to fly over key hospitals, Veterans Affairs locations, city centers, parks and other notable venues in the Buffalo, Rochester and Syracuse areas.
