Delivery of gratitude: Sinclairville 76ers salute service of volunteer

SINCLAIRVILLE — The Sinclairville 76ers is the Meals on Wheels program for the Cassadaga Valley area. Hot meals are delivered three days a week in three vans on three different routes.

The routes included Villenova, Cherry Creek, Conewanago Valley, Ellington, Sinclairville, Gerry, Cassadaga, Lily Dale, Bear Lake, Stockton, and Centralia. Richard Smith of Sinclairville is the president, John Sipos is the vice president, Elsie Livermore is the site manager, Roberta Tarbell is the treasurer, and Sue Alford is the bookkeeper.

All deliveries are done with many volunteers.

Diane K. Shaw, of Cassadaga, was a faithful deliver person, and after many years of dedicated service, retired from the delivery process. Shaw said she met many people during the years of meal deliveries and enjoyed the time that she could volunteer.

All the recipients, she said, are happy to get a hot meal delivered, and for the brief visit each time.
