South Dayton taking pride in Farmers’ Market

SOUTH DAYTON — On a recent Saturday, during the Farmers’ Market on the South Dayton Village Green and upon the arrival of the New York & Lake Erie Railroad Passenger Excursion, visitors were presented white and chocolate milk along with string cheese by the Cattaraugus County Dairy Princess Ambassadors Addyson Shawley and Olivia Shawley of Cattaraugus to promote the dairy industry.

The event was sponsored by Mark Mosher, owner of Harry Austin Milling, South Dayton. The string cheese and milk were donated by Upstate Milk.

The Farmers’ Market started in 2013 and is Saturdays on the Village Green June through end of November with summer and fall hours. Linda Dewey, Perrysburg, has been Market Manager since 2015 when she obtained the Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program authorization.
