4-H projects headed to State Fair

Volunteer evaluators working with Cornell Cooperative Extension of Chautauqua County's 4-H program evaluated over 1,200 4-H Creative Crafts, Ceramics, Conservation, Foods, Horticulture, STEM, Sewing Projects, and other non-animal exhibits. Youth throughout Chautauqua County have been working for months, and in some cases, years to create true works of art. From photography to woodworking youth projects will be displayed in the 4-H Building during the 2026 Chautauqua County Fair. 4-H youth are 8-19 years with varying experience levels. New York’s race for governor appears to be tightening up. Democratic Gov. Kathy Hochul leads Republican Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman 49-39%, according to a new Siena Poll of likely New York State gubernatorial voters released today (Siena’s first poll of likely voters this cycle). In June, among registered voters, Hochul led Blakeman 52-32%. Veterans 4 Christ meet Saturday BROCTON — This Saturday, Veterans 4 Christ will offer a free brunch to veterans, active-duty military and family. This brunch will begin at 10 a.m. at Tri-Church Parish. Most of the brunch items are homemade. Don't forget the Paula Donuts. There is not a speaker on Saturday so please take the opportunity to reconnect with friends and meet new people. The last Monday of August is Tacos Buffet at Westfield American Legion in Westfield.
