Two arrested in alleged robbery

Two men are in custody after an alleged armed robbery in Dunkirk Sunday night.
According to a Dunkirk Police Department press release, officers responded to an armed robbery call at a Washington Avenue residence at about 10:40 p.m. Sunday.
Officers were told a gun was displayed during the incident, and the suspects forcibly took property before fleeing the scene.
Within minutes of the call, Dunkirk police officers located a vehicle possibly involved in the robbery near an address on King Street. Officers determined that two of the occupants, David B. Anzalone, 35, and Jonathan R. Sidaui, 29, were involved in the reported robbery.
Several items belonging to the victim were found with the suspects, along with a pellet gun and illegal narcotics. Anzalone and Sidaui were taken into custody, transported to Dunkirk Police headquarters and each charged with second degree robbery and seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. The men were arraigned in Dunkirk City Court and remanded to Chautauqua County Jail.
