Irving man charged with murder

An Irving man, 38-year-old Keith Renaldo Jr., has been arrested on a second-degree murder charge, the New York State Police announced.

Troopers from the Collins police barracks were contacted June 29 by the Seneca Nation of Indians Marshals on a possible missing person investigation. Gina J. Baca, 45, of Angola had not been seen or heard from in weeks.

Baca was found dead July 1 by the State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation in a small pond just outside the Seneca Indian Reservation. The Forensic Identification Unit and Under Water Recovery Team were used to investigate the surrounding area.

Baca’s cause of death was a gunshot wound to the head. The BCI, using the evidence collected from and other investigative steps, led to the arrest of Renaldo.

Renaldo was arraigned in Brant Town Court and remanded to the Erie County Holding Center without bail. He is scheduled to reappear in court on July 21.

Starting at $3.50/week.
