Polka Buzz tapings set for Saturday in city
Ron Dombrowski, in yellow shirt, will be at the Polka Buzz recording set for Saturday in Dunkirk.
The Blessed Mary Angela Holy Name Society happily announces the return of Ronnie D and the gang from Polka Buzz on Saturday.
Polka Buzz is Western New York’s only public dance show and everyone is invited to come down to the parish social center at 324 Townsend St. and be a part of taping four shows, to be aired on local television in January. Doors open at noon and music starts at 1 p.m.
The host of the show, Ronnie D, will be interviewing people in the audience and you can be on television. Music will be provided by the popular Buffalo band “Phocus,” seven talented musicians who play a variety of Polish music as well as many of your modern favorites.
Bobcia’s Pierogies of the Broadway Market will be providing food the entire afternoon featuring a complete Polish dinner, old fashioned BBQ hamburgers with a side of lazy pierogi, a kielbasa bomber, golumpki and pierogi a la carte, and a kielbasa kraut sandwich.
There will be an assortment of raffles throughout the afternoon and a cash beer and wine bar.
Set aside the Christmas rush for one afternoon and come on down and dance and be on television!
Admission is only $10 and tickets can be purchased at Big Rick’s on Lake Shore Drive East and at the Lord’s Vineyard office on Central Avenue in the Holy Trinity church complex. Tables of 8 or more can get reserved – after you have purchased your tickets call Tony (716-467-0891) and he will gladly reserve a table for your group.
All proceeds will go toward a capital improvement project of replacing all the broken concrete at both St. Hedwig’s and St. Hyacinth’s churches in the spring.
Come on down, have some fun and remember everyone in Our Lord’s Vineyard family wishes you all WesoÅ‚ych ÅšwiÄ…t i Szczęśliwego Nowego Roku!
