Workshop looks at contractor vs. employee
Northern Chautauqua Young Professionals announces the upcoming “1099 Contractor VS. W2 Employee” Workshop Luncheon facilitated by Eric Dosch from Paychex. The workshop is tailored to help determine the relationship of your worker, what categories are most often in question for independent contractor vs. employee, how workers compensation insurance factors in the decision, the benefits of an employee compared to a 1099, a breakdown of how much it will cost for a worker to be an employee, and a demonstration of the Paychex Platform.
The workshop will be held at the Fredonia Technology Incubator’s Large Conference Room on July 18 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Lunch and Networking will be at 11:30, with the workshop beginning promptly at noon. Thank you to Paychex for generously sponsoring the lunch catered by Dupers.

Helping businesses in WNY grow and thrive is something I deeply care about. Whether you are self-employed looking to hire a w2 employee or contractor in the trades wondering what qualifies as a 1099, this workshop is for you. The workshop’s goal is for attendees to have a greater understanding of worker classification and a better understanding of protecting their business.”
