The town of Pomfret is seeking a speed limit reduction on Fredonia-Stockton Road. The Pomfret Town Board agreed this month to recommend it in a letter to the Chautauqua County Division of Transportation. A stretch of road from the Fredonia village line to the LoGuidice Center is the targeted area. The roadway is Water Street in Fredonia, where the speed limit is 30 miles per hour.
