Barbara Petz

She was 85 years of age, born in Corry, PA on April 21, 1927, the daughter of the late Archie and Evelyn (Cummings) Whitehill Hunt. A Dunkirk resident for the past 60 years, Mrs. Petz was a former employee of M. Wile. She was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church.

She is survived by her children, Ernie (Debbie) Petz, Jack (Tammy) Petz, both of Fredonia and Cathy (Ted) Deszcz of Dunkirk; her grandchildren, Christine Yammarino of Rocky River, OH, Jackie (Mike) Cardamone of McKees Rocks, PA, Jason Petz of Howell, NJ, Jodie (Kevin) Bialaszewski of Eden, NY, Tom (Danielle Miller) Petz of Cassadaga, NY and Mark (EJ) Petz of Dunkirk, NY; her great grandchildren, Sal Yammarino, Stella and Derrick Bialaszewski, Olivia and Ava Cardamone, Conno, Hayden and Hope Petz, Dylila Petz, Angela Petz and Barbara’s half sister, Anna Marie (Whitehill) Dixon of Toledo, OH. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Archie Whitehill and William (Eda) Whitehill.

Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no prior visitation. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the charity of one’s choice. Arrangements by the Newman Funeral Home, Inc.
