Julia G. Militello

WESTFIELD — Julia G. Militello, age 87, of Westfield, died Sunday, May 27, 2018 at Gowanda Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, following an extended illness.

Julia was born on July 4, 1930 in Corry, PA, a daughter of the late Anthony and Grace L. (Grandin) Militello.

Julia was a member of The Daughters of the Cincinnati, a Life Member of the John W. Rogers Post 327 American Legion Auxiliary of Westfield, the Chautauqua County Historical Society, and notably, the Westfield Antique Dealers Assoc.

A Westfield resident all of her life, Julia was a graduate of WACS and attend-ed Alfred State College until an illness caused her to stay home. She grew up in the Antique business helping her mother run the fam-ily business, Militello’s Antiques, finally taking it over many years ago. Her passion for antiques fostered

her love for American History, and in turn helper her become a professional business woman and well respected antique dealer, who was widely known in her field.

Survivors include her sister, Mary J. Vandette of Dunkirk, NY and her two brothers, Daniel H. Millet of Westfield and Anthony J. Militello of Fredonia, NY. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to her parents, Julia was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph A. Militello and by her sister, Josephine Luts.

Friends may call on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at The MASON Funeral Home, 37 Clinton Street, Westfield, NY, where Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, May 31, 2018 with Rev. Virginia Carr, officiating.

Private burial will be in Westfield Cemetery.
