Robert Frank Lokietek

Robert Lokietek age 87 passed away peacefully at home on May 27, 2018 where he resided with his wife of 48 years, Patricia (Maternowski).Surviving are his daughters, Sheryl Lokietek-Hilliker (Michael) of Sheridan, NY, Shelley (Gary) Carson of Indiana. Grand-daughter Amanda (Chris) Shepp of Fredonia, NY, a sister Louise Anzalone, brothers, Thomas (Diane) of Dunkirk, NY, Richard of Forestville, Francis “Peter” of FloridaPredeceased by his parents Frank and Elizabeth (Gawronski) Lokietek, brother Joseph and sister, Theresa Szocki. Roberts served faithfully and honorably in the US Navy and retired after 20 years of service as Boatmain’s Mate First Class. He received 5 Good Conduct Medal Awarsds; Bronze Star; National Defense Medal; Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal and Navy Occupation Medal.He also retired from Ralston Purina and volunteered for Trooper/Toys/ Tots for 30 years. He enjoyed golf, horse racing, watching Buffalo Bills,casino trips and looked forward to playing cards with the familyHe was a member of St. Anthony’s Church in Fredonia, NY. Robert donated his remains to the UB Anatomical Gift Program. At his request memorial services will be held privately by the family.
