Catherine A. Duncan of Bader Ave. Gowanda passed away peacefully at home, early this morning, Tuesday, July 3, 2018, she was 67 years old.Cathy was born August 24, 1950 in Springville, NY the daughter of Francis and Ethel (Kohn) Duncan.Cathy retired from NYS , she worked as an admissions secretary at the Buffalo State College in Buffalo, prior to her NYS employment Cathy worked for 6 years in admissions at the former Tri County Memorial Hospital in Gowanda.Survivors besides her mother Ethel Kohn Duncan of Gowanda, include her four children. Two sons; Brian M. Szkatulski, of Buffalo, Eric J. Szkatulski, two daughters; Amy S. Szkatulski and Jeana M. Szkatulski both of Gowanda. Cathy’s former husband Eugene Szkatulski along with grandchildren Timothy, Keegan, Nolan Maude and Jayden Szkatulski, Juliana Williams and Darren, Carter and Eli Szkatulski. Cathy also has a great-grand daughter Olivia Maude and brothers and sisters who include Monica (John) Reid of Gowanda, George Duncan of Franklinville, William Dun-can of Springville and Michael Duncan of Lackawanna. Nieces and nephews also survive .Cathy was preceded in death by her father Francis Duncan.Friends may call at the SCHINDLER FUNERAL HOME 44 Center Street Gowanda from 2-6 p.m. on Friday July 6, 2018. A Catholic prayer service will commence at 6 pm . Burial will be in the family plot of the Holy Cross Cemetery in Gowanda. If desired, memorials may be made to a local charity of ones choice.
