Erma J. Scott

She was born in South Dayton, New York on October 16, 1930 a daughter to the late George and Vera (Degolier) Deering. She had been a current resident of Westfield, New York coming there from Sinclairville, NY where she had made her home for many years.

After graduating from Brocton Central School in 1950, she was a hard worker her whole life. She was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, and grandmother to her 10 grandchildren. She loved flower gardening and enjoyed growing her own vegetables which she canned. She especially enjoyed helping other people. Erma also loved the company of her three dogs, Bonnie, Tootie. And Shaina.

She is survived by two children; Rodney Scott of Jamestown, New York and Marrianne (Mark) Snyder of Brocton, New York and one brother Donald Deering of Falconer, New York. She is further survived by her 10 loving Grandchildren, Stephen & Alisha Mack, Amy Thorpe, Hannah Acevedo, Abbigail Snyder, Lindsay, Phillip, Joseph, Brandon and Alan Scott.

In addition to her parents she was preceeded in death by her husband Gene Scott whom she married in 1951 and who passed away in 1979, a daughter, Suzanne Wickham who died in 1989 and a son; Daniel Scott who died in 1993, three brothers; George Deering, Gilbert Deering, and Robert Deering.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Morse Funeral Home, 51 Highland Ave., Brocton, New York on Saturday, June 15th, 2019 at 12:00 pm, the family will receive visitors at the Funeral Home at 11:00 am, one hour prior to the start of the Funeral Service. Rev. Larry Morrison will officiate. Interment will be private at the Forest Hill Cemetery in Fredonia, NY at the convenience of the family.
