Evelyn Z. Chesley, 81, died after a brief illness on June 28th, 2019, at Saint Vincent Hospital, Erie, PA. She was born September 24th, 1937 in Dunkirk, NY, the daughter of Casimir and Martha (Golubski) Zientowski.
Evelyn was a graduate of Cardinal Mindszenty High School and Bryant & Stratton Business Institute. She married John J. Chesely in May 1958. They celebrated 40 years of marriage. They traveled extensively in the United States and Europe, visited Australia and vacationed in the winter with friends in Florida. Many vacations included her good
friend Lil. Evelyn loved animals especially her beloved dog Schultze. She worked as a bookkeeper for King Windows. In her younger years she was active in several sports including high school basketball and bowling.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Casimir and husband John. Surviving are many cousins.
A private family memorial will be held at the time of burial. Those who wish to remember Evelyn in a special way may make gifts in her memory to the Lakeshore Humane Society,
